Powerful Women of Color in Sarasota

Warriors of Sarasota is a compelling docu-gallery storytelling series, accompanied by a powerful photography exhibition, that amplifies the voices of local women of color who are trailblazing as educators, community organizers, cultural practitioners, activists, and advocates. The series delves into the complex interconnections between Black and Latinx identities, sisterhood, and cultural narratives, all through a multidisciplinary and artistically collaborative lens. By intertwining these documented narratives with evocative photography, the project presents a vivid and transformative portrait of resilience, leadership, and identity reclamation.
