Creative Nexus?
Creative Nexus is a catalyzing series of gatherings uniquely designed to empower BIPOC and LGBTQ artists through connection, collaboration, and celebration. Building on the success of its inaugural gathering on October 21, 2023, Mosaic Movements envisions Creative Nexus as an ongoing series that provides a deliberate space for artists to connect, collaborate, celebrate, and tap into entrepreneurial support and crucial resources for their success. A core commitment of Mosaic Movements is to foster the development and creativity of BIPOC and Queer artists by pioneering innovative and purposeful approaches to collective art creation. This initiative, generously supported by the Live Music Society’s Music In Action Grant, thrives through robust collaborations with WSLR+Fogartyville, Emerge Sarasota, and a diverse network of local community partners and artists.
What We Offer
Through this initiative, we offer artists extensive opportunities to connect, network, and receive professional development. The event series launches with a unique concert and includes:

Kickoff Event: A vibrant showcase featuring artists from various performance and fine arts genres, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and an introduction to Creative Nexus.

Artist Development Workshops: Entrepreneurial and professional development opportunities tailored based on artist feedback, focusing on the skills and knowledge artists need to thrive professionally.

Youth Artist Meet-up: A vibrant gathering specifically for young artists aged 13-24, providing a platform for networking, mentorship, and collaboration among peers. This meet-up fosters a supportive community environment, encouraging creative exchange and the development of new artistic collaborations.

Artist Interdisciplinary Installation: A call for artists will be issued to foster collaboration across various artistic disciplines, culminating in the creation of a public interdisciplinary art installation to be unveiled at the Creative Nexus Summit.

Creative Nexus Summit: Experience the pinnacle of our series and an immersive, enriching day designed specifically for artists, packed with expert-led workshops and insightful presentations and performances from special guests who will share their expertise and wisdom. Unparalleled networking opportunities are aimed at fostering both artistic and professional growth. Each artist attending will receive professional headshots, perfect for enhancing their online presence and professional profiles, making the summit not only a place for growth but also for personal branding.
